Green Roof & Waterproofing Project
Liquatek were engaged to investigate water ingress through a recently completed green roof installation spanning over a below-ground swimming pool/leisure complex at a private London residence.
Liquatek, in conjunction with Langley Roofing Systems, designed and prepared a detailed waterproofing specification which involved the stripping out and removal of all hard-scape finishes and existing membranes back to the concrete structure. The existing drainage was
comprehensively overhauled and enlarged to allow the removal of greater volumes of water. The concrete deck was extensively prepared and new detailing to service penetrations & all up-stand interfaces were installed. A fully bonded Langley Waterproofing Membrane was laid inclusive of the irrigation medium and the upgrading of insulation to conform with current u values. On completion of the membrane, installation works a full water/drainage test was carried out prior to the reinstatement of all external hard-scape stone finishes.
A dry and waterproof environment was achieved to allow clients to enjoy their below ground facilities with the reassurance of 25-year insurance-backed guarantees.
